Arc Flash Hazard Warning Labels
The 2021 NFPA 70E defines what should be on each safety label.
The 2021 NFPA 70E 130.5(H) states warning labels
must include:
Nominal system voltage
Arc flash boundary (determined by data from Arc Flash Risk Assessment)
And at least one of the following:
Available incident energy and the corresponding working distance
OR (but not both)
The arc flash PPE category in Table 130.7(C)(15)(a) OR Table 130.7(C)(15)(b) for the equipmentMinimum arc rating of clothing
Site-specific level of PPE
